African Swine Fever Rages Globally! Outbreaks Reported in Hungary, Poland, and Other Countries
1. Hungary Reports 68 Cases of African Swine Fever in Wild Boars

On February 9, 16, and 19, Hungary reported 68 outbreaks of African Swine Fever in wild boars across five regions including Pest County, resulting in the infection and death of 101 wild boars.  

2. Bulgaria reports 68 African Swine Fever outbreaks in wild boars

On February 10 and 17, Bulgaria reported 68 African Swine Fever outbreaks in wild boars across four regions including Montana Province, resulting in the infection and death of 110 wild boars. 
 
3. Serbia Reports 20 Wild Boar and 7 Domestic Pig ASF Outbreaks

On February 10, Serbia reported 20 wild boar and 7 domestic pig ASF outbreaks across five regions including Vojvodina Province. Thirty wild boars died from infection, while 24 domestic pigs were infected—13 died and 67 were culled. 

4. Estonia Reports 8 Cases of African Swine Fever in Wild Boars
 
On February 11 and 17, Estonia reported 8 outbreaks of African Swine Fever in wild boars across 3 locations including Rapla County, resulting in the infection and death of 12 wild boars.

5. Poland Reports 84 Cases of African Swine Fever in Wild Boars 
 
On February 16, Poland reported 84 outbreaks of African Swine Fever in wild boars across six regions including Kuyavian-Pomeranian Province, resulting in the infection and death of 168 wild boars.

6. Germany Reports 56 Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Wild Boars

On February 16, Germany reported 56 outbreaks of African Swine Fever in wild boars across two regions including North Rhine-Westphalia, resulting in the infection and death of 56 wild boars. 

7. Latvia Reports 45 Cases of African Swine Fever in Wild Boars

On February 17, Latvia reported 45 cases of African Swine Fever in wild boars across four locations including Tukums, resulting in the infection and death of 45 wild boars.

8. Italy Reports 15 Cases of African Swine Fever in Wild Boars 
 
On February 13, Italy reported 15 outbreaks of African Swine Fever in wild boars across three regions including Liguria, resulting in the infection and death of 15 wild boars.

9. Spain Reports 5 Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Wild Boars

On February 13 and 17, Spain reported five outbreaks of African Swine Fever in wild boars within the Catalonia Autonomous Community, leading to the infection and death of 20 wild boars. 

10. Moldova Reports 1 Wild Boar and 2 Domestic Pig ASF Outbreaks

On February 13 and 18, Moldova notified ASF outbreaks in 2 locations including Rîșcani District: 1 wild boar case and 2 domestic pig cases. Ten infected wild boars died, while 15 infected domestic pigs resulted in 8 deaths and 42 culled animals. 
 
11. Romania reports 36 ASF outbreaks in wild boars and 7 in domestic pigs

On February 13 and 20, Romania reported 36 ASF outbreaks in wild boars and 7 in domestic pigs across 8 locations including Iaşi County. The outbreaks resulted in 72 wild boar deaths, 115 domestic pig infections, 15 domestic pig deaths, and 94 domestic pigs culled. 
 
12. Lithuania reports 14 ASF outbreaks in wild boars

On February 13, Lithuania reported 14 ASF outbreaks in wild boars across three locations including Alytus County, resulting in 24 infected wild boars dying. 

13. South Africa Reports Three Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Domestic Pigs

On February 13, South Africa notified three outbreaks of African Swine Fever in domestic pigs in Gauteng Province. A total of 262 pigs were infected, with 260 deaths and 5,490 pigs culled.

14. Cape Verde Reports One Outbreak of African Swine Fever in Domestic Pigs

On February 9, Cape Verde reported one outbreak of African Swine Fever in domestic pigs in the Dáribeira District, with 12 infected pigs dying.

15. South Korea reports 7 African Swine Fever outbreaks in domestic pigs

On February 11, South Korea reported 7 African Swine Fever outbreaks in domestic pigs across 6 regions including South Gyeongsang Province. A total of 129 domestic pigs were infected, 37 died, and 94,000 were culled. 

16. Nepal Reports 7 Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Domestic Pigs

On February 9 and 17, Nepal notified authorities of 7 African Swine Fever outbreaks in domestic pigs across 3 regions including Gandaki Province, with 94 pigs infected and 57 deaths.
