Total annual Brazilian pork exports are expected to reach 1.2 million tons in 2023
In April 2023, Brazilian pork exports totaled 104,500 tons, an increase of 16.6% over the same period last year. From January to April 2023, the total pork export volume was 379,400 tons, an increase of 15.9% over the same period last year.
Eight of the top 10 export markets for Brazilian pork are showing growth trends, especially the five countries and regions in Asia and South America.
Because Brazil has opened up and increased new export markets, pork imports in Asia have stabilized, and Brazil will strive to maintain a stable total export volume to China and other important export markets, especially high value-added markets such as Japan and South Korea. It is estimated that in 2023, Brazil's total annual pork exports may reach 1.2 million tons, which is close to Canada, the world's third largest exporter.
