Let us make 100sows project as a sample :
1、Farrowing crate
100*2.3/52=4.42 nests per week(number of litters) , it need to on farrowing bed for 1+3~4+1=5-6weeks
4.4*5=26sets.
2.3 means each sow produce 2.3 nests. And one year have 52 week.
2、Gestation crate
100*2.3/52=4.42
4.42/0.85*114/7=85sets.
114means the time that the sow need to stay in gestation crate .
0.85 is the rate of mating.
Another simple calculation :100 *0.85=85 sets.
