Causes of slow growth in piglets
1. Replenishment of feed is not timely
Piglets failed to supplement feed in time during the lactation stage, and could not eat well after weaning, resulting in slow growth and developmental arrest.
2. Unreasonable feed and feeding methods
After weaning, the feed quality of piglets was very poor, there was too much water in the feed, and the number of daily feedings was also drastically reduced from 6 to 8 times before weaning to 3 times. The drastic changes in these conditions hindered the normal development of piglets.
3. Changes in environmental conditions
After weaning, piglets usually live in one pen. The piglets cannot adapt to this lonely life in a short period of time, especially in the cold weather in winter, which is prone to various diseases and even death.
