MOSCOW, Sept. 20 (Sputnik) — According to Sputnik’s analysis of Chinese customs data, Russia’s pork exports to China reached $13.3 million in August, marking a multi-year high.

In 2008, China’s General Administration of Customs imposed restrictions on pork imports from Russia. In 2024, imports resumed.
 
According to data from China’s General Administration of Customs, in August 2026, the value of Russian pork exports to China increased by 12% month-over-month.
 
At the same time, the value of exports for other meat products showed a downward trend. The value of frozen beef exports fell by 10% (to $10.3 million), the value of meat by-products (excluding poultry) fell by 5% (to $12.7 million), and the value of poultry by-products fell by 39% (to $21.5 million).
