Russia visits China, signs multiple agreements!
On September 2nd, during Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to China, Russian and Chinese delegations signed 22 cooperation documents. The relevant information was published on the Kremlin website. The agreements covered a wide range of sectors, including nuclear energy, technology, scientific research, and healthcare. Russia's Agriculture Minister announced that Russian pork plants would be further expanded to register for export to China.

Russian-Chinese agricultural trade indicators and the number of participating enterprises have been growing year after year. Russia supplies China with large quantities of grain, fish, and meat products, while China exports vegetables, fruit, and seeds to Russia. For many years, the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance and the General Administration of Customs of China have continuously promoted the development of bilateral trade relations in an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect. This current trade progress is based on numerous complex bilateral meetings and negotiations, mutual inspections of product production sites, assessments of veterinary and phytosanitary regulatory systems, the preparation of extensive documentation, and the negotiation and approval of bilateral agreements. In addition, the two sides continue to advance market access negotiations for Russian winter wheat, barley, rapeseed, millet, sorghum, lentils, chickpeas, edible soybean meal, animal feed production, finished pork and poultry products, and nationwide beef and dairy products. Russian Agriculture Minister Oksana Lut stated that they are in communication with China regarding expanding the number of Russian pork suppliers registered in China: "The General Administration of Customs of China has a constructive attitude, and we look forward to the expansion plan proceeding as scheduled."

At this stage in 2025, Russian export figures to China are as follows:

Poultry meat and by-products: 87,900 tons; Pork: 24,900 tons; Pork by-products: 21,900 tons; Beef: 13,300 tons; Bovine by-products: 3,100 tons; Dairy products: 4,900 tons; Fish products: 494,100 tons; Feed and additives: 596,400 tons

Russia imports approximately 633,000 tons of fruits and vegetables annually. Since the beginning of 2025, 671,500 tons of fruits and vegetables have been imported from China, an increase of 46% compared with 459,700 tons in the same period of 2024.
