Argentine exporter ACA will ship 24,718 tons of corn to China
According to foreign media reports, the latest data from an Argentine shipping agency indicates that Argentine exporter ACA will ship 24,718 tons of corn to China. This is the first actual delivery of a trade order since China approved the import of Argentine corn in 2023, marking the beginning of substantive progress in China-Argentina grain trade cooperation.

This export is of great significance to Argentine agriculture. As one of the world's major corn exporters, Argentina previously lacked direct access to this vast market due to Chinese import restrictions. As China gradually expands its grain import sources to diversify its supply chain, Argentine corn's access has opened up a new growth area for its agricultural exports.

Analysts point out that China's purchases may be driven by two considerations: first, to diversify its import reliance and reduce geopolitical risks; second, to leverage the price advantage of Argentine corn to optimize feed ingredient costs. If the trade process proceeds smoothly in the future, Argentina is expected to become a stable corn supplier to China, further transforming the global grain trade landscape. This will also boost the recovery of Argentina's agricultural exports and support its economic development.

Customs data show that my country imported a total of 790,000 tons of corn from January to June. Among them, 250,000 tons of corn were imported from Brazil, accounting for 31.7%; 230,000 tons were imported from Ukraine, accounting for 29.4%; 200,000 tons were imported from Russia, accounting for 26%; and 70,000 tons were imported from Myanmar, accounting for 8.9%.
