The first batch of Russian pork has arrived at Chinese ports
On April 13, the first batch of pork exported by Russia to China has arrived at Chinese ports, and the necessary customs procedures are currently being processed.
The Russian Federal Service for Animal and Plant Health Supervision pointed out that no news of problems with this batch of goods has been received.
In September 2023, my country lifted the import restrictions on Russian pork imposed in 2008 due to African swine fever. In December of that year, representatives of the General Administration of Customs of China visited Russia to learn about the veterinary supervision system and scientific research institutions of the Russian Federal Service for Animal and Plant Health Supervision, visit pig breeding companies and inspect Russian pork production enterprises. The Russian Federal Service for Animal and Plant Health Supervision and the General Administration of Customs of China signed a memorandum on the inspection and quarantine and veterinary health requirements for Russian pork exported to China at that time, and also agreed on relevant veterinary certification documents.
